Printing
All STL files come with the models in their proper print orientations and will print without supports.
Some files may need to be rotated around the Z axis to fit on the bed area. The longest part is the folding stock at 57mm wide and 296mm long. The tallest part is the buffer tube adapter at 195mm tall. All parts will fit on a Prusa MK3S.
Recommended settings are 200micron or smaller layer heights and 1.5mm shell thickness.
Blaster Assembly
Insert the short compression spring into the Receiver. Then insert the MagCatch and secure with a 3x30 pin.
Push the MagCatch all the way to the rear and then insert the MagRelease from the side.
Insert two M3 press fit threaded inserts into the rear of the Receiver from the inside.
Insert the M2 press fit threaded inserts into the Receiver, and then secure the lever microswitch and button microswitch using M2x10 socket head screws.
Insert four M3 press fit threaded inserts into the TopCover, then secure the TopRail using four M3x12 flat head screws.
Insert a short compression spring into the BatteryDoorBottom, then insert the BatteryDoorLatch. Cover the BatteryDoorLatch with the BatteryDoorTop.
Insert the battery door into the Grip and secure with a 3x30 pin.
Insert the motors into the MotorMount and secure with four M2x4 flat head screws.
Set the FlywheelSpacer into place and then install the Flywheel.
Rotate the FlywheelSpacer and pull it out of the MotorMount.
Repeat the process to install the other flywheel.
Following the manufacter's instructions, solder the motor board onto the flywheel motors.
Install the ChamberLever to the FlywheelCover using a 2x30 pin.
Solder a 160mm wire to the positive terminal of the XT60 connector, and a 320mm wire on the negative terminal. Cover the wire connections with heat shrink wrap.
Solder the positive lead to the normally open (NO) terminal of the button microswitch.
Solder a 100mm wire onto the common (C) terminal of the button microswitch.
Install the button microswitch into the Trigger and secure with two 2x10 pins.
Insert the TriggerBlade and secure with a 2x10 pin.
Insert the Trigger assembly into the Receiver. Ensure the wires coming out of the Trigger are routed into the upper cavity of the Receiver.
Insert the long compression spring and the TriggerRail. Secure with a 3x20 pin.
Solder a 120mm wire along with the wire coming from the trigger switch to the normally closed (NC) terminal of the lever microswitch. Insert the new wire into the long wire channel.
Connect the common (C) terminal of the front lever microswitch to the normally closed (NC) terminal of the rear button microswitch using a 60mm wire. Also solder a 80mm wire to the common (C) terminal of the front lever microswitch.
Solder a 120mm wire to the normally open (NO) terminal of the rear button microswitch.
Trim the leads from the Neutron solenoid to 130mm in length. Solder one to the common (C) terminal of the rear button microswitch. Strip a section of wire on the negative lead and solder the other lead of the neutron solenoid. Ensure the connection between the solenoid and the negative lead is protected with heat shrink wrap. Tuck the negative lead into the long wire channel.
Install the pusher onto the Neutron solenoid.
Place the Neutron solenoid into the top of the Receiver and secure with four M3x6 flat head screws. Do not use the M3x8 flat head screws as it may cause damage to the solenoid. Ensure the wires follow the channel on the right of the Receiver.
Install the MotorMount to the front of the Receiver using a 3x20 pin. Solder the wires from the long wire channel to the motor board.
Install the Grip using two M3x8 flat head screws.
Install the FlywheelCover using two M3x6 flat head screws.
Insert three M2 press fit threaded inserts into the ChamberSwitchMount. Install the last button microswitch to the ChamberSwitchMount using two M2x10 socket head screws. Insert into the FlywheelCover.
Solder the remaining wires to the common (C) and the normally open (NO) terminals of the chamber switch.
Secure the chamber switch assembly to the FlywheelCover with a M2x10 socket head screw.
Install the RearRail and TopCover with two M3x8 flat head screws.
Install the Foregrip using a 3x36 pin.
Slide on the Muzzle and twist to lock into place.
Assembled Blaster
The Kite is now complete.
Folding Stock Assembly
Insert two M3 press fit threaded inserts into the FoldingStockBase.
Insert the wide compression spring into the Stock and set the Stock inside the FoldingStockBase.
Secure the Stock to the FoldingStockBase using the binding barrel.
Secure the folding stock to the rear of the blaster using two M3x35 flat head screws.
